Winter is coming, and I thought it would be a good idea to share some tips about winter driving. Since I came from Russia, I am supposed to have some experience with winters and snow, right?
What do you think is the best method to free your car, which got seriously stuck in a deep snow? Actually, it is digging. Yes, you take a shovel and remove snow from beneath your car and around it. Don't forget about wheels - they should be completely free of snow. All wheels, not only drive axle. Only then you can try and use other methods, like swinging back and forth, if at all needed.
This is the reason to always have at least a small shovel in your trunk during wintertime. You never know when you may get stuck.
