Winter here comes with the expectation of when, not if, is the next collision or sliding into a ditch. Instead of a collision or a ditch, I was twice stuck in snow on flat ground last winter. Spring and summer come with different hazards, but at least the weather will be warmer if I'm walking home from a wreck. |

I've seen only two incidents of road rage, so I suppose human error crashes are below average here. When the snow is gone we still have wheel-killer potholes to provide occasional surprises for distracted cellphone drivers. |

ah those pesky pot holes! We have them all over london now because it snowed so much here.
Btw. it's illegal to talk on the cell phone while driving in uk, so I usually have no excuse to go over the bumps! Still, I don't know why, I never quite see them in advance - I blame all my music cds for the distraction! |
