One of the biggest reasons for road mishaps is 'speed'. So, the simplest solution is to slow down speed. While driving, don't put on makeup, text message, chat on the cell phone, or eat a meal. Drivers who like to drive fast usually remain in this lane; insurance company representatives call it the 'death lane.

I'd say that speed kills. If no one is moving than no one collides. In practice, you cannot call speed a killer. If it is so, than we are all killers; after all, we are all moving at some speed or another...What you CAN say is that speeding relative to the conditions kills.

The reason there are soo many people killed is that they just hand out licenses here. You do not have to prove any level of skill at all. None.

How in the world can you let someone drive down the highway when they have Never, Not even once; had to slow their car quickly from 65 mph?

It's insane -- and they do it all day every day. Just keep handing out those licenses. lol

Oh, and the folks in the left lane your talking about are the clueless.
