Ex-professional driver here!

Hi all,
I'm Izzy and I'm an ex-taxi driver with 20 years experience behind me. It's actually been 30 years since I passed my driving test, but after 20 years taxi driving in a major UK city I really am fed up with driving now. The last long journey I made by car was when I drove from Scotland to the South of Spain 7 years ago. I don't know if that was 2000 or 3000 miles. Took 2 or 3 days anyway with overnight stops.
I've had to re-learn some skills because on continental Europe they drive on the right and in the UK they drive on the left.
The only major difference is using my right hand to change gears, whereas I am used to using my left hand (my right hand was for holding a cigarette, but that's not so easy now).
I don't drive so much anymore; I let someone else do the driving even though I'm a terrible backseat driver. I admit it.
Anyway, it's nice to be here and I hope I can give some new drivers some tips or maybe even learn something new myself:)

I dunno. Were you constantly driving for 12 hour shifts?

Hi all of you . I might consider myself pro because my only proffession is to drive cross country and deliecer goods in a specifiel time limit and i have never even touched the dead line time since i reach well in advance.
