I was driving in Arlington TX when some cop on his motor bike pulls me over and tells me I was speeding. Well telling him that it was my first time... he takes my information and hands me a $178 ticket.
This is my first time and I need help.
a) can I get it off my record with no points
b) Will they lower my fee if I tell them im taking DD
c) should I take it online?
d) are there any other hidden fees I need to pay ( like court fees etc)
Any help would be great! |

Not that I ever been to Texas, but based on what I know about them, online defensive driving school can be a cheap "get out of ticket" option. It does not work like that in VA for example, but in TX many tickets are closed this way. And it's dirt cheap, I think $25 or so. I happen to know one of the best of those schools, give them a try - click here.
If that does not work for you, I know a good manual on beating speeding tickets, I think it costs $30 or so, and it is worth every cent - check it out here
But either way do something, don't just accept it and pay. Points will stay on your record for three years, and all that time insurance will eat you alive... |

Any help would be great! | If you take DD, you CAN get it off your record. Your insurance company MAY lower your fee...make sure you get both a COURT and INSURANCE copy of the DD completion certificate.
You will need to pay court fees. As far as taking it online, it's really up to you: would you rather take the course at your own pace, or just take it in one day and get it over with?

It is best that you pay that amount. you cant mouth yourself out in a situation like this , if so then you could be put under some more charges and your fine amount gets huge. |

Yes it takes points off your record. I took it online with come dy driving.com it was very convenient and entertaining. I recommend this company because not only I got my ticket dismissed but also it was a great learning experience. |
